Decentralized control and decomposition
For large-scale systems, decentralized structure of control is
strongly desired in practice from both design and maintenance
viewpoints. The purpose of the research is to develop a theoretical
framework of dealing with interactions among subsystems and their
uncertainties. Fault tolerance and robustness are some of important
issues.
The theory has a lot of applications in practical control,
which includes control of wastewater treatment plants and
communication networks.
