Robust nonlinear control
Control of nonlinear systems is conventionally based on cancellation
of nonlinearities so that it is vulnerable to disturbances and
uncertainties. The aim of the research is to develop control design
methodologies which enhance robustness of nonlinear systems by
avoiding wasteful cancellation and exploiting useful nonlinearities.
Numerical computation for such nonlinear systems designs is
also investigated.
The application of the theory includes biological and
communication networks, aircrafts, automobiles, ships,
DC-to-DC regulators, control of wastewater treatment
plants and so on.
